Rhythmatism - by Cheryl J

Artist Alphabet (Part 1)

To celebrate the fact that despite of the NSW Labour Party's gross underfunding of schools, I have learnt my A B C's (do you want to play with me? - I'm sure Gary Glitter would!), I have decided to count down the letters of the alphabet. Do try it with me (assuming you know that B comes after A, C comes after B and so on...)

"Bueller? Bueller?"

Well the last post was a disappointment. It only made me realise that people post because they want me to post on their blogs! Give a little people...

My friends car broke down yesterday. I was in it. Another friend (yes, I have many) asked if it was serious, or if I had laughed. I replied "It was serious, I laughed." We sat by the curb-side in Bondi waiting for the NRMA guy to come. Luckily we had a small tape player (since her car doesn't have any CD player/radio/steering wheel), and we started to listen to some of the trashy 80's tapes in her car. Johnny Hates Jazz? I hate Johnny

Rolling Stone

Our garden is currently being torn up by a company called Rolling Stones. I just finished reading Decembers Rolling Stone. Several days ago I watched a movie about the Rolling Stones. They're been and gone, and now, Kylar starts to enjoy the Stones, late as always (except where it counts!) I've always avoided the Rolling Stones for one reason or another, but when I was taking a browse of the local St Vincent de Pauls (shudder), I found a rather interesting tape; Some Girls. It, in a way similar to what Amanda Vandstone did for me and the Liberal Party, has launched me into a love of the Rolling Stones. It also helps that the original guitarist committed suicide, became hero and now is cool for cats.

I now have the infinite pleasure of presenting the Official Kylar Rhythmatism Favourite Rolling Stones Album List 2007, aka OKRFRSAL2

No

Isn't it obvious when it isn't meant to be? Casey Donovan for one, George Bush another example. This has never been more relevant than one band which defines my annoyance; The Cure. I've heard that their song All Cats Are Gray is a favourite choice for the would-be suicidee. When people want to die after they listen to your music, IT ISN'T MEANT TO BE.

Most Hated Bands

Brainstorming last night, I came up with a definitive list of several bands which I have taken a stance resembling that of Kim Jong Ill to the free people of the world! I hate these bands with a passion never seen in any other than Helen Coonan discussing media reforms, and I am here to slander their image in a hope that I get my 15 minutes of fame when they sue me for defamation.

And so, without further ado, my dear two readers, I give you

Favourite Albums

Everyone has them. Even people from Tasmania. It's a favourite album, the one you cherish above all else, so when the world comes to a crashing conclusion (when Barry Manilow starts singing), and you can only pick one album to take with you on the road-trip to the pearly gates, it would be this. Being me, at least five times (if not more) more important than everyone else, I have compiled my list of five of my favourite albums (although pay by credit card and I'll throw in a second five absolutely free, the first five hundred thousand callers get a useless kitchen grate also.)

#5 - Horses

Transition Transmission

I was incredibly bored today, notably due to the lack of decent viewing on Nine or Ten (Seven I took for granted), and so I decided that it was time for another post. I was told my last one was "dripping in ego", but I would have described it as "a work of absolute genius."

Inspired by a new vinyl I bought returning from a job interview today (even the mighty must support themselves!), I have decided to enlighten thee on the glorious album that is David Bowie's Station To Station. It is, Barbara Streisand's Greatest Hits not-withstanding, my favorite album ever to have been created. It is sheer genius

Something Obscure

Now, my kindly readers (all of which I have one, my mother; yes, hello in the back there), I am well aware that this is my first post on this newfangled contraption, but I shall do my best to entertain you in just the way that Donald Trumps hairpiece does for me.

If you must know, this blog will primarily be about music: rock (glam and art my personal favorites), jazz, soul and pop. However, from time to time, I may mention other events and/or make reference to Cher; at this time, I have changed from my course of music to a more racy fare of dirty gossip and outright abuse
