Rhythmatism - by Cheryl J

Very cool Rihanna video you've probably never seen.

Is she beautiful? Undoubtedbly. Does this photo make her look both innocent and sexy? Absolutely. Can I share a little secret with you? The more observant of you may have noticed already.

Open this post for a surprise I have for Rihanna fans – a gorgeous video you have probably not seen. You won’t be disappointed.

The artist in question goes by the name of Mediamaster who can be found on www.deviantart.com is using nothing but skill and Adobe Photoshop CS with default brushes and an Aiptek Tablet.

There are minor imperfections you can see when you realise that this is a digital painting but please tell me this doesn’t impress you!

I’ve also thrown in a music video of the Beautiful Bombshell from Barbados performing
Disturbia.

Born Robyn Rihanna Fenty; February 20, 1988, Rihanna is a Barbadian/Guyanese singer, model and fashion designer. She is the second artist, and first female, from Barbados to have received a Grammy Award. Rihanna is currently signed to the Def Jam Recordings label. She has attained five Billboard Hot 100 number ones so far ("SOS", "Umbrella", "Take a Bow", "Disturbia" and "Live Your Life") and is the female solo artist with the most number ones in this decade. She has sold over 11 million albums and nearly 40 million singles worldwide.

Rihanna came to fame in 2005 with the release of her debut album Music of the Sun, which featured her breakthrough single "Pon de Replay". Less than a year later, Rihanna released A Girl Like Me and gave her first number one single, "SOS". In 2007, Rihanna released her third studio album, Good Girl Gone Bad. The album has yielded six hit singles including three worldwide number one singles including "Umbrella", "Don't Stop the Music" and "Take A Bow". Since the release of her debut album, Rihanna has amassed twelve top 40 hit singles in the U.S.

It seems this girl just can’t seem to put a foot wrong.

Hi Morgan
I had a feeling that both you and Raoul would like that filmclip. She does look quite drag in it....and hot as usual!

Isn't the painting awesome?! I love digital art. In reality it takes them between 8 and 12 hours to do and we get to see it in 7 minutes. I love the detail.

Hi Kamil Mio Osbual

I came across the Deviantart site when I was looking for something else and thought it was just an airbrushed pic as well until I clicked on the link. Amazing work. The only place the artisi fell a bit short was her hair and only if you really look. Other than that...wow, so realistic I couldn't tell.

I'll be doing a post on zentertainment.com.au soon about digital art. Keep an eye out for it.

Thanks for your comment

That digital painting is amazing. I know many would try to argue that it isn't "real art" but I certainly wouldn't be one of them. I think it is terrific that technology is helping in people expressing their artistic talent in new ways.

Hi Gene, I definitely think it is art. This is as much painting as using a brush and canvas. I've watched people 'paint' using a tablet and pen and it takes an amazing amount of skill. I couldn't even draw a semi straight line with one. Isn't technology great?!
