Radiohead - House of Cards video with 3D camera technolgy
Radiohead's video for House of Cards, was made without the conventional use of cameras or lights. Instead, 3D plotting technologies collected information about the shapes and relative distances of objects. The video was created entirely with visualizations of that data with fabulous results.
The very best part is, the band is making all the data compiled to create the images available to fans, allowing Radiohead fans to make their own versions of the song, In Rainbows .
“I always like the idea of using technology in a way that it wasn’t meant to be used, the struggle to get your head round what you can do with it. I liked the idea of making a video of human beings and real life and time without using any cameras, just lasers, so there are just mathematical points — and how strangely emotional it ended up being,” Thom Yorke said.
