Hello, I’m Rhythm. I am currently living in San Diego and I am an avid shopper. I love going to malls on the weekends. Shopping can be costly so I can’t quite afford to do it every weekend, but I certainly try. When I don’t have the opportunity to get out, I enjoy shopping online just as much. It wasn’t always that way, but with all the videos, high-definition pictures, and shopping apps available today, shopping online has come a long way. Today, it’s almost impossible to think of a world without online shopping as we’ve all gotten so used to the convenience of buying things online.
The shopping world has become increasingly complex over the last several years. Being a smart shopper is therefore essential if you want to save money and get good bargains on whatever your purchase. One of the best ways to be a knowledgeable shopper is by making a habit of doing research online. Before going out on a shopping spree, I always like to do the following:
- Research price ranges for the items I am interested in purchasing
This is easily done on the Internet. There are even sites that allow you to compare prices between different sellers on the Internet. But such sites aren’t always 100% accurate, so that’s something you should be aware of before using such sites.
- Red reviews of some of the top brands
There are reviews for just about anything being sold online. Sites like epinions is a good place to start. Amazon also has tons of customer reviews that you can check out. There are also many niche sites on the Internet that provide detailed information and reviews about a certain type of product.
- See if I can get the product I want used (assuming it’s something I don’t mind buying used)
I’m not going to lie. I’m pretty picky about what I purchase used. There are certain things like clothes and shoes that I would never purchase used, no matter how cheap. On the other hand, I buy used DVDs all the time. I also bought a used tennis racket and weights not long ago. I like to use Ebay for my used purchases, but there are quite a few other options when it comes to buying used products online.
- See if there are any online coupons, promotions, or other discount offers I can take advantage of
Finding deals or coupons online is surprisingly simple. In most cases, all you need to do is enter a search and go through the results for a few minutes and you’ll find an up-to-date coupon that can quickly save you $$. Every once in a while, I would fail to find a coupon for something I want to buy, and have to full price. But this is definitely an exception for me.
As you can see, I like to do my homework and be as knowledgeable a shopper as possible. I suggest you take the same approach to shopping. Not only is doing research online addictive and fun, it can also save you money. After you get used to doing research, you’ll find that there are certain websites that you consistently turn to for good information. It’s a good idea to bookmark such sites so you can refer to them quickly in the future.
Now let’s talk a bit about the purpose of this website. In this blog, I will be talking about a variety of topics related to shopping. In particular, I will focus on ways to make sure you are getting the lowest price possible for a product. In addition, I will be sharing any coupons or promotions I find on the Internet.
Where possible, I will also be providing reviews of products and services. As you have probably guessed by now, I buy so many things that I always seem to have something new to talk about and review. I wanted to have an organized platform on which to talk about shopping and products, and thus this site was born.
I value feedback, so please feel free to contact me using the contact form with any questions you might have. You can also offer suggestions about products you’d like to have me review. If you are a merchant and want me to review your product, you can also send me free samples and I’d be happy to take a look.
For now, this site is strictly a blog, but I may eventually branch out into doing videos as well, which I will post here as well as on popular video sites such as Youtube and Daily Motion, among others.
